Today marks day 2 of the city being under shelter in place and day 3 of digital learning with my 6th graders. Shelter in place isn’t really an issue at this point. I don’t make it a habit to be out and about during the week. Come Saturday I may have a different view point.

So far with distance learning, I have successfully created, hosted, and joined several Zoom meetings. My meetings with my students have be awful awkward. It is so good to see them don’t get me wrong. These are the people that I spend my entire day with. But after a few minutes of a check in basis, it starts to get awkward. Especially when it is just one or two students. Any advice on how to make this less awkward is gladly accepted. I am going to try a jeopardy game today. So we will see how that goes.
