Yesterday, I went to school to get some things from my classroom that I will need to teach from home (my rocket book, pens, teacher manuals, etc). I also sat with some of my teaching partners and created a plan for our kids. I was reminded how terrible this situation is. Yes, the virus is a big deal. Don’t get me wrong. The fact that I will not see my students breaks my heart.
I brought home some new novels that my students and I have briefly talked about in class. I plan on reading some of the novels for my students. It’s definitely not the same, but it will have to do. Something will have to happen. I am not sure I can go this long without seeing my students. Feeling super sad today…..
